Extracellular Vesicles as nano-transporters
for pharmaceutical drug delivery

Mission:   Development of key theralytic technologies to leverage EVs as drug delivery vehicles
Focus:   ‘Edible‘ EVs from food derived sources for oral applications

[see homepage]

  • systematic characterisation of EVs from natural sources and investigation of their uptake, transport and biological interaction with mammalian organisms in relevant preclinical models
  • industrial & pharmaceutical isolation of EVs from edible sources
  • technologies for quantitative characterisation of EVs at the single vesicle/ single molecule level in vitro and in situ
  • technologies for post-isolation, molecular engineering of EVs for surface modification and cargo loading/ formulation
