Highlights from the 2021 International Society of Extracellular Vesicles Scientific Meeting – The Clinical Perspective

Once more, it became clear that HETEROGENEITY is not only an inherent feature of extracellular vesicle (EV) biology but is also a characteristic for the scientific community interested in EV research. The event offered the opportunity to attend more than 400 scientific presentations. The topics ranged from EV biogenesis, biomarker discovery, EVs in diagnostics, EVs in therapeutics development, in vitro and in vivo assay development to EVs and their role in health and disease. From a clinical perspective, the main focus was on three biomedical key areas: EVs in neurologic disorders, EVs in cardiovascular disorders, EVs and their role in cancer. [get the article]
